NameMelodies
NameMelodies are songs written based off the letters in someone's name. The translation is done by pairing the English alphabet with the musical alphabet (A-G), simply repeating A-G until all the alphabet letters are used up. Then some basic rules are applied: Notes can be sharped or flatted (but not doubled), notes can go in any direction but must be in the correct order with no notes in between. Whole words must stay together. Notes can be played together as long as they are adjacent in the name/word.
NameMelodies provide a unique and memorable gift for all ages. I can use several names (and even phrases) in any given song and can finish most songs within 4-6 weeks. However, it may take longer given my schedule.
A NameMelodies song order comes with a complete song recorded onto CD, a second track recorded that explains how the name/words are used in the song, and a simple notation of the music and translation used for each name/word. Sheet music for the entire song is also available upon request.
